Thanks to Boing Boing:
“Dover Area School Board members violated the Constitution when they ordered that its biology curriculum must include the notion that life on Earth was produced by an unidentified intelligent cause, U.S. District Judge John E. Jones III said.
Several members repeatedly lied to cover their motives even while professing religious beliefs, he said.”
Hah! Granted, I shouldn’t be this excited when a judge rules in an obvious manner, but these days I’ll take any win intelligence and the US Constitution can get. Plus, they were careful to maintain that evolution does not explain the origins of life. There’s a study over at Harvard that’s asking that question.
