Sound Stuttering Problems in Starcraft II Under Wine on Ubuntu 12.10 Solved!

Thanks to Daniel Rammelt, my recently developed sound problems with Starcraft II have been solved.  The change is pretty straightforward.  In /etc/pulse/default.pa, change the following line:

resample-method=speex-float-1

to:

resample-method=src-linear

And that’s all there is to it!

P.S. – You will need to restart pulseaudio.

pulseaudio -k
pulseaudio --start

    • You can open a terminal and type cd /etc/pulse, and the file with be there (you can see a file listing by typing ls). Alternatively, you can open the file browser, double-click on Computer, then double-click on etc, and, finally, double-click on pulse.
